NHS ANTI-SWINDLE TEAM

NHS Anti-Swindle Team mischief making planning meeting. Tuesday, October 9 at 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM – venue tbc. facebook event page here
After a lovely long summer break, let’s get back on the case and organise some beautiful trouble.
There’s a whole host of new peeps advocating for NHS privatisation, including Tory Peer Lord Brampton and Health Secretary Matt Hancock. While the impact of the government’s ‘hostile environment’ continues to impose costs on asylum seekers for healthcare.
Let’s get together and learn more about these guys and discuss how we can draw attention to the continuing privatisation and marketisation of our NHS.
Please spread the word mischief makers!

Our Aims:
-
A publicly run health service that is free at the point of medical need.
-
The re-nationalisation of health and social care and an NHS that is free from private company control.
-
Sufficient government funding for good quality health and social care.
-
The transfer of contracts from private companies back to the NHS.
-
Financial gains from the Virgin Care ‘Surrey Children’s Services’ lawsuit returned to the NHS.
The creation of the NHS was a radical act and political radicalism has been at the heart of the story of British healthcare protection. Inspired by creative, participatory, community organising and engagement, we are organising a series of campaigns and actions over summer 2018 to combat the private company control in our NHS.
Working in collaboration with Act Up and supported by a number of creative individuals, we have developed a new dynamic, creative hub of artists. Positioned at the section of art and activism, we utilise media, technology, film, music, theatre, puppetry and range of other mediums as resources. If you are interested in getting involved in our summer actions or provide support in any way, we would love to hear from you. See more of our videos here.
